Cefuroxime Axetil
Cefuroxime axetil is an oral second-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. It acts by binding to and inactivating penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) located on the inner membrane of the bacterial cell wall, preventing cell wall synthesis and leading to bacterial cell death.
